Official Rules & Format

League Format

The league includes a Regular Season, Playoffs, and an All-Star Game.

  • Regular Season: All teams compete in scheduled matches.
  • Playoffs: Standard single-elimination bracket format.
  • All-Star Game: Played after playoffs featuring standout players.

Each team will have between 4 and 8 players.

Game schedule, set format, and weekly match count will depend on the total number of registered teams (TBD).

Team Captain Responsibilities

  • Each team will have one designated captain.
  • The captain will receive direct communication from league officials regarding scheduling, updates, and announcements.
  • Captains are responsible for relaying all information to their team members in a timely manner.

Game Day & Location

  • All official league matches will be held on Saturdays.
  • Games take place on Saturday mornings at the Miami Lakes Athletic Club.

Eligibility & Waivers

  • The league is open to players ages 16 and up.
  • Both men and women are welcome to participate.
  • Players under 18 must have a parental consent form signed before participating.
  • All players are required to sign a liability waiver before the start of the season.

Weather Policy

Because this is an outdoor league, games canceled due to weather will be made up the week before playoffs.

If a game cannot be rescheduled, standings will be based on completed games.

Sportsmanship

  • No fighting or unsportsmanlike behavior of any kind.
  • Players must respect teammates, opponents, and referees.
  • Violations may result in loss of points, suspension, or ban from the league.

Player Attendance

  • Each team must have at least 4 players to play a match.
  • If a team has fewer than 4 players, they may invite unregistered fill-ins, but the result will be a forfeit.
  • If an entire team is absent, the league may form a temporary team from other players, but the original team still forfeits that week.
  • To be eligible for playoffs, teams must meet a minimum attendance threshold, meaning a set number of games where 4 or more registered players are present (TBD).

Uniform Policy

  • Jerseys are required for identification purposes.
  • Players may wear the official league jersey, any matching team shirt, or play shirtless.
  • There are no penalties for not wearing the provided uniform, but players are encouraged to represent their team colors when possible.

Game Start & Timing

  • Games start exactly at the scheduled time.
  • For each minute a team is late, that team will lose one point from their total score.

Injury Replacements

If a player is injured and out indefinitely for the rest of the season, the team may replace that player for free.

The injured player’s registration will cover the new player’s spot.

The replacement player may need to pay for a uniform if the injured player chooses not to gift their uniform.
